Biography:

I have strongly advocated for my clients and their families for over ten years in quality care and counseling.  I provided access and guidance and gave my clients all available resources and services to support their overall health and wellness needs.

I believe that change does not happen without giving clients the tools and support they need to draw their strength from, so they can realize their potential to live productive and fulfilling lives.

Over the years, I have provided group counseling, individual therapy, and assessment services for mental health services for children, adolescents, and older adults affected by severe and persistent mental illnesses.  Also, individuals simultaneously experience co-occurring disorders that interfere with their ability to function in crucial life roles such as parenting, attending school, family and social difficulties, and employment for about three years and counting.

In my role, I recognize how important it is to identify all aspects of an individual's life that impact their well-being, including their physical health, support systems, work or school environment, faith, and spirituality.  Therefore, I approach counseling and assessment as healing processes to help individuals answer subconscious questions about themselves or their children.  With compassion and empathy, I collaborate with each individual to assist them in building on their strengths and achieving the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

In most cases, I utilize a multidimensional approach to therapy, exploring the client's biological, psychological, social, and spiritual needs.  I also use techniques and skills from recognized therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Play therapy, mindfulness and relaxation, crisis intervention, case management, and strength base services focus.

My motto is, I want to meet you where you are, and we can get you where you want to be. My counseling practice is Compassionate and Empathetic Understanding.  Our goal is to find a solution to your life's essential questions.  Please try me, and you will not be disappointed.  Call today.
